The European Commission is taking measures to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. The FAA is monitoring these measures and considering their impact on audit work.
As ever, and particularly during this period, the FAA is seeking to reduce the administrative burden. In view of the measures taken by the authorities, on-site inspections will be reduced to a minimum in 2020. Controls will in principle be conducted ‘on desk’ using the data in the databases, and from the MA, CA and, if necessary, data received from the beneficiaries.
